Rebecca Fairbrother is a lifestyle expert who has combined her love of London and its wellness scene to create a new concept in concierge service: Well Aware. Her company acts as personal go-to guide to health, crafting custom packages that cater to both visitors and residents of England’s capital. Well Aware covers everything for individuals or small groups, including arrangements for transportation and accommodations to ordering cold-pressed green juices so that travelers can have a stress-free, fulfilling experience.
Why did you start Well Aware?
I started Well Aware as I love working with people and have a strong passion for all things health, fitness, and wellness and believe they are central to living a long and happy life. Upon my return from living in New York during a short sabbatical, I noticed a huge shift in attitudes towards health and wellness and thought the time was right to put my passion into practice. Having been born and raised in London, I wanted to bring together my knowledge of the industry making it accessible to both London residents and visitors, hence Well Aware was born.
What kind of services does Well Aware offer travelers visiting London?
For travelers coming to London I would recommend our “Jet, Sweat and Reset” package. This awesome package is designed for people visiting London – either on business or for pleasure – who want access to our flourishing health and wellness scene. As long-haul flights can throw your body’s natural rhythm off balance, we want to get you feeling tip-top as quickly as possible so you can make the most of your stay. The program features several boutique fitness classes (reformer Pilates is highly recommended as it helps realign your body after traveling), a massage, a selection of cold-pressed juices, and some healthy post-workout snacks.
Every Well Aware client also receives a welcome pack upon arrival which consists of a number of current well-being pieces from London’s flourishing health scene including a pair of stylish yet functional workout leggings and Qnola (a quinoa-based granola everyone is talking about).
Well Aware also offers a bespoke service for both travelers visiting London and residents meaning we design a package which is completely tailored to the clients’ lifestyle as well as their health and wellness needs.
Share how you work with potential visitors to develop a wellness package.
All our of services are highly personal and we try to make everything as seamless, stress-free and convenient for the client so they can get the most out of their stay. We offer all of our clients a complimentary consultation to talk through their goals, preferences and needs so that we can provide the best possible service for them. Once the admin is out the way, we curate the package meaning all they have to do is enjoy!
How do you work within clients’ budgets?
We always try and accommodate our clients and will give them a variety of different options if they have a preferred budget. As we have unparalleled knowledge of the industry and have partnered with the best people and brands, our clients are happy with the level of service we provide, and we have a high retention level. We also have a referral scheme so each party receives a discount upon a successful recommendation and we constantly run marketing campaigns and seasonal offers.
Can you share some of your favorite wellness destinations for a health-conscious travelers visiting London?
Tricky question, there are so many! For massages and facials, I love Azure Beauty, a boutique spa in the heart of Mayfair. Run by two lovely ladies Katharine and Jenna, they offer bespoke, holistically-based treatments with results driven solutions.
CPress on the Fulham Road, Chelsea serves delicious cold-pressed juices, and fresh, healthy meals. And if you are in need of a caffeine fix, it is run by two lovely Italian brothers who know their coffee and make the best Almond Milk cappuccinos.
For workouts, I think Frame is one of the best studios in London. Their workouts are fun, effective, and also so different to anything else on offer.
LONDON’S WELLNESS SCENE
How would you describe the London health scene?
Booming! London has undergone a massive change in the last year – people’s social lives now include workouts, cold-pressed juices are a daily part of people’s diets whilst stylish workout leggings and trainers are now a wardrobe staple. Being healthy is now the ‘in’ thing. There are so many different classes to choose from and wellness events to attend, it’s really such an exciting time and a really fun, supportive, and collaborative community to be a part of.
Any tips for incorporating fitness or wellness into trip planning?
That’s where Well Aware comes in. All of our services are tried, tested, and vetted, taking the hassle out of having to research, plan, and organize your trip. When I travel, I always take resistance bands with me in my suitcase in case I don’t have time for a full workout. It means I can do some simple moves in my hotel room and they don’t take up much room in your suitcase – double win!

Where would your ultimate wellness dream trip be and why?
Where do I start? Jordan and Georgia are definitely up there on my list of places to visit as are Bali and Sri-Lanka. I would love to go on a yoga retreat with lots of time to read, go for walks, eat delicious food, and soak up the surroundings. I think we all live such busy lives and are constantly connected so it’s really important to take time for yourself, switch off, and recuperate.
