Boats wait to enter Lake Michigan during a spring bridge lift in Chicago, IL. This photo is a perfect example of dumb luck — we happened to hop on an architecture tour down the Chicago River on the first day that boats could enter the lake for the summer season. Sometimes it pays to be a tourist!
