Music Inspired by the Northern Lights
En Route Traveler’s music playlist is inspired by the ethereal beauty of the Northern Lights. Also known as “Aurora Borealis,” the Northern Lights are an astronomical phenomena that occur near the magnetic pole. They are caused when the electronically charged particles of the sun enter the earth’s atmosphere. These dancing curtains of electromagnetic lights are best witnessed during long, clear, winter nights in northwestern Canada, Alaska, Greenland, Scandinavia, and Siberia.
This Spotify collection of atmospheric Scandavian music and haunting, downtempo tracks reflect the eerie allure of the auroras and the dramatic arctic landscapes that they inhabit.
